New Publication on D&I Science

Kathleen R. Stevens, EdD, FAAN, RN, ANEF, Castella Endowed, Distinguished Professor in the School of Nursing, UT Health San Antonio, and her team have recently published an article Bootstrapping Implementation Research Training: A successful Approach for Academic Centers in the Journal of Clinical and Translational Science. ReACH Scholars Erin Finley, PhD, MPH, and Bertha “Penny” Flores, RN, PhD, WHNP-BC are co-authors on the publication.

This article describes learnings from a 2-day training Dr. Stevens and her team conducted on implementation science for faculty-scientists within four Texas Clinical and Translational Science Award (CTSA) programs. The evaluation results of this workshop demonstrate that “bootstrapping” resources can help build research capacity within the CTSA community.
