Dr. Luz Garcini and Her Student Vyas Sarabu Won Research Award
Congratulations to Vyas Sarabu, a second-year medical student at UT Health San Antonio, for his winning poster at the 24th Annual Medicine Research Day Presentation! Mr. Sarabu is a mentee of Dr. Luz Garcini and working on studies that address immigrant health. His poster, “What Hurts the Most: Trauma and Cardiometabolic Health among Undocumented Latinx Immigrants” was awarded the best poster for the medical Student/Resident category.
