Community Health Workers Encourage the San Antonio to Respond to the 2020 U.S. Census

To encourage participation in the 2020 U.S. Census Community Health Workers in San Antonio have put together an important public service announcement on YouTube for the San Antonio community. It is not too late to complete the 2020 U.S. Census.  Our Community Health Workers count.  And you count too!

Recently released data show that Texas’ response to the ongoing U.S. Census is lagging behind responses recorded in the previous two censuses.  At the start of July, Texas reflected at 56.6% response rate while in the same time frame in 2010 and 2000 the response rates were 64.4% and 64.0%.

Census takers will soon start to visit households who have not responded to the 2020 Census to fill the gap between the known number of households in the U.S. and the number of households that have self-responded to the 2020 Census.  Those who have not yet responded to the 2020 Census can file online or by mail through October 31, 2020.
