ReACH Center Population Health Postdoctoral Fellowship

With funding from the UT System Collaborative on Population Health Innovation and Improvement and the Center for Research to Advance Community Health (ReACH), UT Health San Antonio is creating a new 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in population health. Eligible applicants are individuals who have received a doctoral degree and who are pursuing additional research and training in order to have better skills to pursue a career in academia, research or any other field.  For more information click here.

ReACH Scholar Lisa Cleveland PhD leads effort to combat opioid abuse

ReACH Scholar Lisa Cleveland, PhD, RN, assistant professort of nursing has been awarded two grants totaling more thatn $4 million from the Texas Health & Human Services Commission to educate Bexar County first responders in how to identify and reverse opioid overdoese.

Research from ReACH Director and ReACH Scholar Cited in CDC Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain

On March 18, 2016 the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention published a new Guideline for Prescribing Opioids for Chronic Pain.  Research published by ReACH Director, Dr. Barbara J. Turner and ReACH Scholar Dr. Yaunyuan Laing was among the research cited in the guidance.  Congratulations to Dr. Turner and Dr. Liang!
