ReACH Center Population Health Postdoctoral Fellowship

With funding from the UT System Collaborative on Population Health Innovation and Improvement and the Center for Research to Advance Community Health (ReACH), UT Health San Antonio is creating a new 2-year post-doctoral fellowship in population health. Eligible applicants are individuals who have received a doctoral degree and who are pursuing additional research and training in order to have better skills to pursue a career in academia, research or any other field.  For more information click here.

ReACH Scholar Lisa Cleveland, PhD Receives Grants Funding to Expand Training for Opioid Antidote

Opioid Crisis

ReACH Scholar Dr. Lisa Cleveland, assistant professor at UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing has worked extensively with herion addicted mothers in Bexar Country.  She is using her experiences with these mothers to inform Bexar County's Joint Opioid Task Force and was recently awarded two grants from the Texas Health and Human Services Commission to train first responders in the use of Narcan, an anti-overdose medication that can be injected or given as a nasal spray.

ReACH Scholar Lisa Cleveland, PhD, RN, assistant professort of nursing has been awarded two grants totaling more thatn $4 million from the Texas Health & Human Services Commission to educate Bexar County first responders in how to identify and reverse opioid overdoese.

ReACH Scholar Lisa Cleveland, PhD awarded PCORI Tier I award

Lisa Cleveland, Ph.D., RN, PNP-BC, IBCLC, works with Yolanda Aldana and her baby, Nevaeh, on Kangaroo Mother Care techniques. Aldana and her daughter are part of the Mommies Program, a community-based counseling and parenting program for mothers recovering from substance abuse.
